Welcome to my new space where I'm excited to share insights and practical tips from my research on executive function in the classroom – all designed for real-world educational settings.

About Me:

• 🎓 With 30 years in education and currently teaching in Edinburgh, I'm finishing a PhD in Education/Psychology.

• 💡 I specialise in executive function strategies which support students with ADHD and Dyslexia in mainstream classrooms.

• 🤝 By understanding each student's unique EF profile, I help educators create inclusive classrooms that allow all learners to fulfil their potential.

A Peek Into My Life:

• 🐾 Hugo, my therapy dog, is my teaching sidekick.

• 🍽️ I've shared a meal with royalty – yes, the Queen!

• 🧠 Menopause was a journey that opened my eyes and first-hand lived experiences of neurodiversity.

• 🎨 My first degree was graphic design and I draw little cartoons on my other account @nicki.teach.research
